The Olmstead County man accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend and her 2-year-old daughter appeared in court Tuesday morning. Ranard Carter’s attorney has not entered a plea saying more time is needed to gather evidence. Police said Carter was identified as a suspect in the murder early in the investigation and was located and arrested in South Carolina. Carter is scheduled to be back in court on December 22.
