A project to improve Highway 65 in Albert Lea is currently in the planning stages and is expected to start in the Spring of 2022. The project will include reconstruction of Highway 65 from Newton Avenue to the Shellrock River Bridge and repaving from Shell Rock River Bridge to Sorenson Avenue along with other improvements. Also, Design options are being considered to reduce flood incidents.
