Albert Lea school district was commended by the governor for keeping COVID case numbers lower. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz recently visited Albert Lea High School as part of his statewide safe learning tour amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and highlighted the success with Albert Lea’s hybrid learning model, and distance instruction. The governor was also scheduled to swing by Byron Primary School, with both visits marking the sixth and seventh stops on the tour.
