Warning About Jumping Worms

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is warning gardeners and anglers to watch out for invasive jumping worms. An official with the DNR said the jumping worms are a relatively new invasive species in the state and are a threat to gardens and forests. They eat plant roots, damaging garden plants and sod, and can make rich soil more like coffee grounds. Anyone who believes they’ve found jumping worms should contact the DNR.
