60 month sentence handed down to Austin man convicted of flare gun shooting

A 60 month sentence was handed down to an Austin man convicted of shooting a man in the face with a flare gun. David Michael Mattson-Fuller, accepted a plea deal Oct. 1 in the case in which witnesses identified Mattson-Fuller as the man who got into an altercation with the victim at a residence on 13th Avenue Southeast May 20 before he shot off the flare gun striking him. The 22 year old received credit for 142 days served.
