An Austin man convicted in connection to a Feb., home invastion and assault that left the victim fighting for his life will spend more than 7 years behind bars. Cham Nygare Gilo was sentenced to more than 7 years in the Minnesota Correctional Facility for pistol whipping a man nearly to death at an apartment on 13th Street Northeast over a $500 debt.
MEANWHILE…
Police say Gilo was arrested hiding out at his girlfriends 10th Street Northwest residence and she is facing felony charges in the case. She is currently awaiting a disposition hearing.
