NORTHWOOD, Iowa – An Albert Lea man who led police on a high-speed chase in Worth County has been sentenced to spend 24 hours behind bars. Jesse Delossantos, 49, was ordered Friday to spend one day in jail, after pleading guilty to the police pursuit in which Worth County law enforcement say Delossantos reached speeds of up to 91 miles per hour in the June 20, 2019 incident. Court documents state Delossantos eventually crashed and then fled on foot before he was apprehended by police.
