An Austin man linked to a Sunday morning shots fired incident at a house party made his first appearance on Tuesday in Mower County District Court. Eric Lamar Starnes Jr., 24, has been charged with felony second-degree assault in connection to a report of gunfire on Third Avenue Northwest where officers found several shell casings and a large crowd inside the residence, including a runaway juvenile. An officer also reported a car was shot up during the chaos. The case is still under investigation.
