Albert Lea man facing charges in connection to high speed police chase

(ABC 6 News) – An Albert Lea man that led police on a high speed chase during a routine traffic stop is facing multiple charges. The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy attempted to stop the vehicle early Wednesday morning and the driver sped off prompting the brief police pursuit that ended when the suspect crashed through a fence on Neal Street, and got stuck in the snow. Brandon Johnson, 38, was taken into custody. The sheriff’s office said the vehicle had recently been stolen.
