Company that owns 200 radio stations files for bankruptcy

A privately held company that owns more than 200 radio stations, filed for Chapter 11 Monday. Oregon based Alpha Media, cited what it called COVID-19 “headwinds” for the company’s closure, according to Law360.com. Alpha owns a cluster of stations in Mason City. Chapter 11 would allow the company to continue operating as it seeks court approval of its plan to reduce debt and change ownership.
