(ABC 6 News) – The vacant YWCA building could soon be transformed into a center for the arts. Two Albert Lea artists have purchased the building with plans to renovate the historic structure into an area for artists to live and work. With a community minded approach, the concept includes short and long-term residential spaces, studios, a performance venue and hydroponic garden, as way of contributing to the resurgence of downtown Mason City, according to a press release.
