Judge orders probations for Eden Prairie man convicted in summer shooting

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – A judge sentenced an Eden Prairie man to five years of supervised probation Monday in Freeborn County District Court for a summer shooting that left the victim hospitalized. Arnoldo Barrientos Jr., 42, pleaded guilty to 2nd degree assault for the July 16, 2020, shooting on Gene Avenue in Albert Lea. Law enforcement says Barrientos shot his victim during an argument, court documents state.
