Winter weather conditions could make for a slippery slide on your commute Thursday. The National Weather Service is calling for snow and blowing snow today, with wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph increasing the potential for blizzard conditions across much of south-central Minnesota into western Wisconsin. A winter storm watch is in effect through Thursday evening. A blizzard warning has been issued south of Albert Lea in Iowa. Expect plummeting temperatures as a strong cold front moves in for the weekend, the NWS warned.
