A Winnebago county native and NIACC wrestler who was involved in a serious head-on collision is out of the intensive care unity and is continuing to recover. Kristian Gunderson, of Forest City, was injured last week in a wrong-way, head-on crash near Clear Lake, according to an update posted on Wednesday by the NIACC wrestling team.
