AUSTIN, Minn. – An Austin woman charged in a 2019 child abuse case has been sentenced. Sharnaye Latrice Scroggins, 31, is accused of spanking her 3 children with a phone charging cord, as well as punching one of them in the eye, while another child claimed to have been beaten with a spatula. She was sentenced Monday to one year of supervised probation.
