A Faribault County Deputy was recently honored for his heroic actions last Nov. 29 to help save a life. According to Faribault County officials, Briar Bonin was on the scene of an active shooter incident when police say he dragged a victim to safety while risking his own life. Bonin recieved a certificate from the Albert Lea Police Department in recognition of his courage under fire, bold actions, and selfless dedication to duty.
Faribault County will also honor Bonin on July 20, during the next regularly scheduled County Board meeting.
