AUSTIN, Minn. – New details are being released about an hours long police standoff at an Austin hotel early Sunday morning. Authorities confirmed Tuesday that two men have been arrested in connection to a weapon-involved assault in which two people were hospitalized. Police said several people were in the room when they arrived, and after about 2 hours of negotiations everyone was ushered to safety. Both suspects are currently being held in the Mower County Jail pending formal charges, police said.
