Austin woman accepts plea deal in bank fraud case

AUSTIN, Minn. – An Austin woman has accepted a plea deal for stealing from a bank where she worked. Bonnie Ann Kilpatrick is accused of ilegeally withdrawing more than $28,000 from an elderly woman’s account at First Farmers & Merchants Bank. Austin police say Kilpatrick admitted to taking the money because she had a gambling problem. The 48 year old pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of theft. Her sentencing is scheduled for November 18.
