Austin woman sentenced to 25 years probation in 2017 drug trafficking case

An Austin woman who accepted a plea deal in a 2017 undercover drug trafficking case has been sentenced to 25 years of probation. A Mower County District court judge also oredered 35-year old Amanda Ray Gillies to serve 90 days in jail for the felony charge stemming from a drug bust in which the 35 year old sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant on two different occasions in December of 2017. Additional felony drug charges were dismissed as part of the plea agreement with prosecutors.
