A Mower County man is facing charges after admitting he was on his phone when he caused a crash on Hormel Century Parkway. Austin Police reported that 23-year old Marcos Rodriguez told officers he drifted into a lane of traffic near the skate park Monday evening while looking at his cell phone, before colliding headon with another vehicle. He was booked into the Mower County jail on multiple charges. The driver of the other vehicle, a 17-year old Austin resident was treated for minor injuries. Austin Police said the case has been forwarded to the Mower County Attorney’s Office for review.
