Omaha man charged with vehicular homicide has pleaded not guilty

MASON CITY – An Omaha man charged with vehicular homicide after hitting a pedestrian in a Mason City store parking lot in June has pleaded not guilty. 35-year-old Christopher Rathfon was due in court Tuesday, but filed a written plea of not guilty Monday. He is accused of running over a 62 year old woman in the Mills Fleet Farm parking lot June 8th. She died June 10 as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. Rathfon’s trial is scheduled for September 21.
