Concerns over a lawsuit from Invenergy has prompted citizens of Worth County to create a legal defense fund that has already garnered nearly $10,000 in support. The lawsuit against Worth County arose because of Invenergy’s Worthwhile Wind project, which aims to create a 30,000-acre wind farm in the county, which opponents say will have negative impacts on the health and safety of county residents.
