A 50 year old Austin man was sentenced in Mower County District Court to 172 months in prison for felony first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a child under 16. Nearly a dozen additional charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement, according to court documents which state that the victim, now a grown woman reported to police that Hernandez, who she knew, began sexually abusing her starting when she was about 13 or 14 years old. Reports state he was her caretaker. He received credit for 589 days served.
