Albert Lea man busted burglarizing old church accepted plea deal

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – An Albert Lea man busted burglarizing an old church last month has accepted a plea deal. Witnesses told police they spotted Jonathan Michael Boyd breaking into the building in the 400 block of Freeborn, and the owner caught the 44 year old inside the former church now being converted into a private residence. Police arrested Boyd Sept. 10 near the old church with wire cutters and a can of Pepsi that had been stolen from the old church. His sentencing is set for December 16.
