Republican frontrunner for MN governor criticized for spreading COVID misinformation

(AP) – Some are expressing concerns that the small-town family doctor angling to become Minnesota’s next governor is spreading COVID misinformation. Dr. Scott Jensen’s FB post dismissing the vaccine drew a cautionary label from Facebook attesting to the safety of vaccines and had been temporarily banned from advertising on the site and was kicked off TikTok for allegedly spreading misinformation. The 66 year old former state senator has emerged as the early frontrunner among Republicans seeking to unseat Democratic Gov. Tim Walz.

MEANWHILE…

The Minnesota Board of Medical Practice had opened four investigations against Jensen, based on anonymous allegations that he spread misinformation and gave bad advice about COVID-19.
