Albert Lea Business Owner Loses Civil Case

An ALbert Lea business has lost a civil court case filed against it by the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office. The Interchange Wine and Coffee Bistro was ordered to pay 18-thousand dollars in fines to the state after allegations that owner Lisa Hanson opened the business in violation of state executive orders banning in-person dining to slow the spread of COVID-19. Hanson was also charged criminally with nine misdemeanor counts of public nuisance and violating emergency rule.
