ALBERT LEA, Minn. – A sentencing date has been set for a Freeborn County man in connection to a near fatal dating incident last year. Jordon Allen VanRyswyk, of Albert Lea, was arrested in May 2020 on multiple assault and weapons charges for severely beating a woman he had been dating for 3 weeks. The 34 year old’s sentencing is set for February 7, 2022.
