Shots fired call leaves Albert Lea police with more questions than answers

A shots fired call left Albert Lea police with more questions than answers early Tuesday morning. Deputies responded to reports of gunshots in the 2400 block of Margaretha Avenue where a 911 caller said they had heard shooting the night before, and officers found eight .45 caliber shell casings on 19th Street near Clayton Avenue and one 9 mm casing was found on 19th Street near the intersection with Ethel Avenue. The investigation is ongoing, police said in a news release.
