Driver arrested after drugs were found during traffic stop in Lake Mills has accepts plea deal

The driver arrested after drugs were found in his vehicle during a routine traffic stop in Lake Mills has accepted a plea deal in the case. Zackery Carlson pleded guilty to a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge, stemming from a traffic stop by the Lake Mills Police Department in September. Carlson was sentenced to serve 7 days in the Winnebago County Jail and ordered to pay $430.00 in surcharges and court costs. A judge also ordered Carlson to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow through with treatment recommendations.
