The first major snowstorm of the season is expected on Friday with heavy snow creating difficult and dangerous travel conditions all across southeast Minnesota, with 5-12 inches predicted to blanket the area. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for from 9:00 Friday morning to 6:00am Saturday.
MEANWHILE…
Due to the impending snowstorm several schools will be closed, including Blooming Prairie and Austin Public Schools. Albert Lea Public Schools will have an E-Learning Day Friday. All sports and school activities are cancelled.
