Two people sentenced for fatal Freeborn crash

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Two people have now been sentenced for a crash that killed a Freeborn County teen. Investigators say Dominik Nikko Boots-Ringeon, who pleaded guilty to the August 27, 2020, crash on 795th Avenue that killed James Joseph Amarosa III, 17 of Albert Lea and injured three passengers, was sentenced Monday to 258 days in jail. The owner of the car was ordered to spend just over a week behind bars for letting Ringeon drive even though she kenw he had prior DUI convictions.
