Albert Lea man convicted of threatening people with a gun in 2020 was sentenced

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – An Albert Lea man convicted of threatening people with a gun in 2020 was sentenced to probation. Jose Antonio Soto Jr., was arrested in November 2020 after witnesses said he drove up to another vehicle in an Albert Lea parking lot and pulled out a handgun and threatened to shoot them because he thought they were talking about him. Soto accepted a plea deal in the case and a judge ordered the 37 year old to three to five years of supervised probation and 30 days of home detention.
