Albert Lea man sentenced for 2021 church break in

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – An Albert Lea man charged with burglarizing a former church last year has struck a plea deal with prosecutors. Jonathan Michael Boyd pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary for breaking into an old church on Main Street in Freeborn on September 10, 2021, court documents state. The building is being converted into a private home. The 44 year old was sentenced Thursday to 23 days in the Freeborn County Jail and two years of supervised probation.
