Albert Lea woman sentenced in ‘teddy bear’ drug trafficking ring

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – An Albert Lea woman convicted in a ‘teddy bear’ drug trafficking ring was sentenced Monday. Marivel Ramos pleaded guilty in October 2021 to second-degree drug possession, after investigators say the 46 year old sent cash to California and received packages full of teddy bears stuffed with 10.5 pounds of methamphetamine. A Freeborn County judged ordered Ramos to 10 years of supervised probation
