Boom sound awakens one Albert Lea neighborhood

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Residents in one Albert Lea neighborhood were awakned after two loud bangs were heard just after 3am Monday. Police said a caller reported the noise and said when they looked out their window they saw a car on fire at 1217 St. John Ave.. Police said the fire is suspected arson, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Albert Lea arson hotline. You may be eligibe for a reward of up to $5,000.
