Owatonna Police blocked off several city streets in the downtown area while the fire department battled the blaze Tuesday night located behind the new Marriott Hotel under construction. A spokesperson for the fire department confirmed a fire was in a work trailer behind the hotel and not the structure itself. Firefighters were on the scene for about 30 minutes. The spokesperson said no cause has been determined as the blaze remains under investigation.
