Routine traffic stop in Blooming Prairie lands unruly passenger in handcuffs

A routine traffic stop in Blooming Prairie landed one person in handcuffs. David DeLuna, 44, made his first appearance Monday in Steele County District Court, where he’s facing criminal charges after allegedly fighting with officers, spitting at them and trying to bite one of them, stemming from an incident Saturday just before midnight, when a BP police officer pulled over a vehicle for running a stop sign. The 44 year old remains in custody, and is due back in court Feb. 7.
