Several area schools announced Thursday night they will cancel classes or switch to remote learning as the winter storm is expected to bring heavy snow Friday. Albert Lea Area Schools announced they will be closed and it will be an e-learning day today. Lake Mills Community School, Northwood-Kensett Community School, and NRHEG Schools are closed, while United South Central will follow a remote learning plan.
