A structure on Mill Street North in Brownsdale is being considered a total loss after being destroyed in a fire Tuesday afternoon. The Brownsdale Fire Department first responded to 311 Mill St. North, and Chief David Pike stated in a news release that crews reported flames were coming from the roof area around the chimney. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the blaze under control, but overhaul operations continued into Tuesday evening. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Brownsdale Fire Department.
