Forest City residents are being warned about a utilities phone scam. Police say someone is calling people telling them their electrical service will be disconnected unless payment is made immediately. Authorities emphasize that disconnect notices are sent by mail from the Forest City Hall and they do not call residents to notify them of an impending shut off. Authorities continue to investigate the source of the calls.
