It was a bitter sweet goodbye as longtime Blooming Prairie Police Sgt. Mark Lang tearfully gave his last broadcast at the end of his shift on Monday. The 20+ year veteran ended his law enforcement career in Blooming Prairie, “due to his inability to physically perform his duties for the Blooming Prairie Police Department,” a release states. He was awarded with a Certificate of Retirement in recognition of his many years of sacrifice and service, and Lang also received an engraved plaque thanking him.
