NORTHWOOD, Iowa – A sentencing date has been set for a Worth county father in connection to 2021 theft charges filed against him and his son. Deryck William Leitner Sr., 48 of Kensett, has pleaded guilty to changing vehicle identification numbers on a stolen snowmobile in Worth County. Charges against Deryck William Leitner Jr. have been dismissed. The father and son duo were arrested after the stolen snowmobile and trailer was found at the Leitners’ home, court documents state. Deryck Leitner Sr. is scheduled to be sentenced on April 25.
