VENTURA – A Worth county man who was out on probation for burglarizing a Clear Lake home is facing new charges. John Murphy is now accused of a March 31 home robbery and assault in Ventura where police say he dragged the victim by her hair to the curb, injuring the woman, before he stole a vehicle at the home. Murphy entered a plea of not guilty during his hearing Tuesday. Court records did not indicate a trial date. A probation violation hearing is scheduled in the previous case for June 20th.
