Austin man facing felony domestic abuse charges sentenced to prison

An Austin man facing felony charges for violating a harassment restraining order has been sentenced in Mower County District Court. A judge ordered, 33-year old Trendon James Johnson Thursday to two years in prison for a felony charge of violating a harassment restraining order and for violating a domestic abuse no-contact order stemming from incidents that occurred in Austin in May of 2021 and January of 2022. Two felony counts of attempting to violate a domestic abuse no-contact order against Johnson in the case were dismissed as part of a plea deal.
