Albert Lea, Minn. – Back to back fires in Albert Lea kept first responders busy over the weekend. Crews responded to an apartment complex on Janson Street Friday night and residents had to be evacuated
from the building, after a kitchen fire on a first floor apartment quickly spread. And, a few hours later firefighters battled a blaze at a home on Garfield Avenue, where multiple pets were rescued. The fire is believed to have been started by a dryer in the basement. No injuries were reported in either incident.
