FOREST CITY, Iowa – A Freeborn County man accused of stealing over $300,000 is maintaining his innocence. Brandon Lee Crews, 31 of Emmons, MN, pleaded not guilty in Winnebago County District Court this week to charges stemming from an incident in which he is accused of smashing out the back window of a truck in Lake Mills during Thanksgiving weekend [November 28] last year, and stealing cash and other items. His trial is scheduled to begin on July 13.
