Freeborn County man charged in 2020 drug trafficking case sentenced

ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Freeborn County man charged in a 2020 drug trafficking case has been sentenced. A judge ordered, Troy Jay Thompson, 41 of Albert Lea, Thursday to serve up to five years of supervised probation and perform 40 hours of community work service. Thompson pleaded guilty in January to third-degree sale of meth stemming from an undercover investigation in which Thompson sold a total of 11.49 grams of meth to a confidential informant.
