Back to back worker deaths at two Fairbault businesses under investigation

The state is investigating the electrocution of a worker at Trystar earlier this month. Jon VanDuzen, of Faribault, died June 10 at the Faribault plant, which manufactures electric cable and other electrical equipment. Fairbault police said, surveillance video showed the 33 year old was killed by electric shock while working on some equipment. State officials said the investigation could take a month or more.

MEANWHILE…

In a weird coincidence, Faribault Police also investigated the death of a worker at another Faribault business the same day. The 33-year-old seasonal worker from Mexico was found dead in a camper at Gold Star Manufacturing on June 10, according to a news release. No foul play is suspected. The exact cause of death is pending an autopsy.
