Blooming Prairie man accepted plea deal in connection to 2020 drug sting

AUSTIN, Minn. – A Blooming Prairie man has accepted a plea deal in connection to a 2020 drug bust.
Michael Phillip Chavez pleaded guilty to second-degree sale of drugs. He was arrested in November 2021 after allegedly selling meth to a confidential informant during an undercover investigation, court documents state. The 39 year old has now been sentenced to five years and seven months in prison, with credit for 115 days already served.
