(ABC 6 News) – The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is hoping to diversify farmers. A recently launced program aims to help underrepresented Black, Indigenous, and people of color to own land – something that is difficult for new farmers with no family wealth or inherited farmland. The program offers new farmers down payment help in the form of $15,000 grants.
